Len Sassaman

Len Sassaman is the current maintainer of the Mixmaster anonymous remailer code and remop of the randseed remailer. He was employed as the security architect and senior systems engineer for Anonymizer. Currently he is a graduate student at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, as part of the COSIC [1] (http://www.kuleuven.ac.be/research/researchdatabase/researchteam/50000521.htm) research group, led by Bart Preneel.
Len has written numerous papers on privacy and anonymity. His works are listed in the FreeHaven Anonymity Bibliography (http://freehaven.net/anonbib/author.html#Sassaman_2c_20Len). He has also lectured at universities such as Cambridge and Stanford.
Len is a cypherpunk and privacy advocate. He worked for Network Associates on the PGP encryption software, is a member of the Shmoo Group, a contributor to the OpenPGP IETF working group, the GNU Privacy Guard project, and frequently appears at technology conferences like DEF CON. Len is the co-founder of CodeCon along with Bram Cohen, co-author of the Zimmermann-Sassaman key-signing protocol, and was an organizer of the protests following the arrest of Dmitry Sklyarov. He is also the operator of the long-running MUD, Shadows of Infinity.
Len is also known for donating his web hosting services to high-bandwidth causes, such as the Hiibel video download, the Jet Blue / Torch Concepts privacy violation evidence, and numerous FreeBSD ports packages.
Len is the maintainer of the pipemeter and pgp6 FreeBSD ports.
