Lemmon Valley-Golden Valley is an unincorporated census-designated place located in Washoe County, Nevada. As of the 2000 census, the community had a total population of 6,855.
Geography
Lemmon Valley-Golden Valley is located at 39°39'50" North, 119°49'37" West (39.663842, -119.826961)Template:GR.According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 84.0 km² (32.5 mi²). 84.0 km² (32.5 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 6,855 people, 2,418 households, and 1,886 families residing in the community. The population density is 81.6/km² (211.2/mi²). There are 2,507 housing units at an average density of 29.8/km² (77.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 90.42% White, 0.35% African American, 2.38% Native American, 1.18% Asian, 0.18% Pacific Islander, 2.38% from other races, and 3.12% from two or more races. 5.92% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,418 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.2% are married couples living together, 10.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.0% are non-families. 15.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.83 and the average family size is 3.11.
