Leipsic is located at 39°14'25" North, 75°30'60" West (39.240320, -75.516639)Template:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 6.67% water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 203 people, 79 households, and 48 families residing in the town. The population density is 279.9/km² (722.0/mi²). There are 89 housing units at an average density of 122.7/km² (316.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 93.10% White, 0.00% African American, 1.97% Native American, 0.99% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.49% from other races, and 3.45% from two or more races. 2.46% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 79 households out of which 31.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.8% are married couples living together, 10.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 39.2% are non-families. 26.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 3.21.

In the town the population is spread out with 29.1% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 11.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 82.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $37,656, and the median income for a family is $39,219. Males have a median income of $35,156 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income for the town is $13,825. 14.9% of the population and 10.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 20.0% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Leipsic is the English name for Leipzig, East Germany's second largest city.
