The Kosovsko-Pomoravski District expands in the southern part of the Republic of Serbia.

It has a population of 217,726. Its seat is in the city of Gnjilane.
The first mention of Gnjilane was found in the XVI century. In its immediate vicinity is the Klokot Spa with several thermal springs supposedly having high medicinal qualities.
