Kid 606 is the stage name of Miguel Depedro, an electronic musician who was born in Caracas, Venezuela, raised in San Diego and later moved to San Francisco. He most closely associated with the IDM and electronica scenes.
His music is known for its high tempo breakbeats and a liberal mix of noise and sampling, inspired by Atari Teenage Riot, Autechre, Pan Sonic and Matmos. Notable releases include Don't Sweat the Technics (1998) and P.S. I Love You (2000).
Along with Rjyan Kidwell, who's more commonly known for his work as Cex, he created the Tigerbeat6 label.
