(Below edit is by someone who worked at the English Grand Lodge where Julie Scott took over):
Her tenure as Grand Master of the English Grand Lodge (English-speaking North and South America) has been controversial. Upon her appointment, she fired or laid off a large number of employees, some under questionable circumstances. Many chose not to sue in order to protect the Rosicrucian membership. Others did.
Many employees quit in protest, or because they were forced into situations where they were asked to perpetrate the illusion that all was well at the English Grand Lodge. Some that stayed did so out of loyalty to the membership and a desire to work from within to improve the situation.
Those who worked under her found her secretive and paranoid, with a mercurial personality. Her actions and attitude are not in keeping with Rosicrucian tenets and principles, although she may believe she is a true Rosicrucian student. Even her position as Grand Master is viewed by some as illegitimate and not rightfully earned or deserved.
