Joseph B. Johnson

Joseph Blaine Johnson, a native of Sweden, was born August 29, 1893 and died October 25, 1986. He moved to America, settling in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, where he was an engineer and in 1945, a member of the Vermont House of Representatives. He was elected to the Vermont Senate in 1947 and served as governor of Vermont from 1955 to 1959. He was a Congregationalist.
