John Taylor Doolittle (born October 30 1950), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1991, representing the 4th District of California (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/ca04_109.gif)). He was born in Glendale, California, grew up in Cupertino, California, was educated at the University of California, Santa Cruz and the University of the Pacific, and was a lawyer and member of the California Senate before entering the House.
