John Boland

John Boland (1945?-2001) was a senior Irish politician. Boland first ran for the Dáil in 1969, however, he was unsuccessful. He was eventually elected to Dáil Éireann on his third attempt in 1977 as a Fine Gael Teachta Dála. He retained his seat until his retirement from politics at the 1989 General Election. He served in the Cabinets of Garret FitzGerald between 1981 and 1987.
John Boland died on August 15, 2001.
