Jessie Camacho (born September 24, 1974 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico) was a contestant on the television show Survivor who appeared in Survivor: Africa.
She was voted out in the second episode for being sick and is notable for having the highest popularity rating of any contestant in any season (she was at 98% popularity before the game). However, Rupert Boneham is considered to be the most popular Survivor ever, not only because of his current popularity (95%) but also because he was always popular during the game and after the game, while Jessie Camacho's rating dropped considerably once the game began.
Camacho was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida when she was 14. She won the title "Miss Puerto Rico, Orlanda" at age 16 and worked as a model. She attended Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida. Before joing the cast of Survivor, she worked as a police officer for the Altamonte Springs Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
