James Jose Rowley

James Jose Rowley (1908 - 1992) was a U.S. administrator. He served as the director of the U.S. Secret Service between 1961 and 1973 under Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.
A New Yorker of Irish parents, Rowley had in fact been working for the secret service since the days of the Roosevelt administration after first joining the FBI in 1936 and then moving to the Secret Service in 1938, graduating to Director in 1961.
