James Brolin (born James Bruderlin) (born July 18, 1940) is an American actor and director. He was married to actress Jan Smithers from 1987 through 1995 and is currently married to actress Barbra Streisand, whom he wed in 1998.
He is most famous for his roles on television series such as Marcus Welby, M.D., Hotel, and Pensacola: Wings of Gold, and roles in films such as The Amityville Horror. He was signed on for the role of James Bond in 1983 when Roger Moore's participation in the Bond series was uncertain, but Moore returned to the role and Brolin never played Bond.
