Jackson Township is a township located in Scott County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,361.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 18.5 km² (7.2 mi²). 18.1 km² (7.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.65% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,361 people, 461 households, and 349 families residing in the township. The population density is 75.4/km² (195.2/mi²). There are 501 housing units at an average density of 27.8/km² (71.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 85.82% White, 0.22% African American, 1.10% Native American, 1.54% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 10.07% from other races, and 1.25% from two or more races. 21.90% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
