Iron Man and Sub-Mariner

Iron Man and Sub-Mariner is a comic book published by Marvel Comics in 1968. It is notable for being the first Marvel title to intentionally publish only one issue. Previous Marvel titles had lasted only one issue, such as Red Raven Comics #1 (which became Human Torch Comics with #2, dropping all features from #1), but were cancelled after that one issue due to low sales. Ironically, the first Marvel title to only publish one issue was Marvel Comics: it was renamed to Marvel Mystery Comics as of #2.
Iron Man and Sub-Mariner does not feature a team-up of the title characters, nor does it feature a complete story for either character. The Iron Man story is continued from Tales of Suspense #99 and is continued in Iron Man #1. The Sub-Mariner continues from Tales to Astonish #101, and is continued in Sub-Mariner #1.
