Indochine (movie)

Indochine is a 1992 film in French and Vietnamese which tells the story of a young Eurasian woman, adopted by the female owner of a rubber plantation, who falls in love with a young man who had had an affair with her mother. When her mother has the young man sent away, her daughter travels to find him.
The movie was written by Erik Orsenna, Louis Gardel, Catherine Cohen and Régis Wargnier. It was directed by Wargnier.

Awards
The movie won the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film and Catherine Deneuve received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.
