Impromptu is a 1991 movie starring Hugh Grant as Chopin and Judy Davis as George Sand.
Aurora Dudevant is an outspoken writer using the pseudonym George Sand. In her romantic pursuit of the sensitive Chopin, she is advised that she must act like a man pursuing a woman. She takes this advice to heart, and wins over Chopin and even participates in a duel for him, at which he faints.
The movie also stars Julian Sands as Franz Liszt, Bernadette Peters as Marie d'Agoult, and Emma Thompson as the Duchess d'Antan.
This movie was rated PG-13 by the MPAA.
