Image:Hamilton County Courthouse, Aurora, Nebraska Bkell.jpg
|
This is a photograph of the Hamilton County courthouse I took in the fall of 2003. The courthouse is made of red sandstone and was built in 1895. It occupies the most prominent position in Aurora—the center of the town square—and is the tallest building in town, with the exception of the large grain elevators.
There are strobe lights at the top level of the tower that flash at night. These are a memorial to Harold E. "Doc" Edgerton, who was from Aurora.
