Template:Titlelacksdiacritics Huşi is a city in the county of Vaslui, Romania on a branch of the Iaşi-Galaţi railway, 9 miles West of the river Pruth and the Moldovan frontier.
History
Huşi is an episcopal see. The cathedral was built in 1491 by Ştefan cel Mare of Moldavia. The city is said to have been founded in the 15th century by a colony of Hussites led by Jan Huss, from whom its name is derived. The Treaty of the Pruth between Russia and Turkey was signed here in 1711.
