Humboldt is a city located in Kittson County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 61.
Arguably named after Alexander_von_Humboldt who was actively exploring in the Americas and later operatoing as a diplomat (and therefore his exploits were widely published) over the period 1797-1858.
