Hudson Falls is a village located in Washington County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 6,927. It is the county seat of Washington CountyTemplate:GR.
The Village of Hudson Falls is in the southwest part of the Town of Kingsbury, on US Route 4.

History
The village was founded in a land patent granted to James Bradshaw and his associates as the Village of Sandy Hill. The village assumed its current name in 1910.
Geography
The village is on the east bank of the Hudson River at the border of Saratoga County, New York.
Hudson Falls is located at 43°18'8" North, 73°34'50" West (43.302272, -73.580667)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²). 4.8 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.13% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 6,927 people, 2,876 households, and 1,760 families residing in the village. The population density is 1,453.5/km² (3,763.5/mi²). There are 3,120 housing units at an average density of 654.7/km² (1,695.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.91% White, 0.45% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.16% from other races, and 1.02% from two or more races. 0.68% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,876 households out of which 31.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.7% are married couples living together, 15.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.8% are non-families. 32.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.37 and the average family size is 2.95.
In the village the population is spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 88.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 83.8 males.
