Hudson is a census-designated place located in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. It contains the most populated portion of the town of Hudson, New Hampshire. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 7,814.
Geography
Hudson is located at 42°45'43" North, 71°25'55" West (42.762138, -71.431958)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.4 km² (3.2 mi²). 7.9 km² (3.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.95% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 7,814 people, 3,063 households, and 2,107 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 985.9/km² (2,549.5/mi²). There are 3,125 housing units at an average density of 394.3/km² (1,019.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 95.74% White, 1.23% Black or African American, 0.26% Native American, 1.11% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.82% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. 2.32% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 3,063 households out of which 33.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.4% are married couples living together, 11.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.2% are non-families. 24.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.55 and the average family size is 3.02.
