Hope and Glory is a 1987 film which tells the story of a boy growing up in the Blitz in London during World War II. The film is a pseudoautobiographical account of writer/director John Boorman's early life. It stars Sebastian Rice-Edwards, Geraldine Muir, Sarah Miles, David Hayman and Sammi Davis.
It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Picture and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.
