Hooperman was an ABC television series starring John Ritter, 1987-1988 two year season run. Genre known then as dramedy a combination of drama and comedy. Mr. Ritter played a San Francisco plainclothed policeman. The show was filmed rather than taped, i.e., better production quality. The brainchild of Steven Bochco ("Hill Street Blues", "L.A. Law", "NYPD Blue") and Terry-Louise Fisher ("L.A. Law"), the show was good-natured and often quite funny.
