Hatebreed

Hatebreed is an American metalcore band from Connecticut, the best-known proponent of that genre. Their style is essentially a heavier version of old school NYC-style hardcore punk. Hatebreed is widely derided in hardcore punk circles as sell-outs and for the simplicity of their music and lyrics. However, Hatebreed spent several years in the wilderness as a self-financed project before achieving commercial success.
Hatebreed is known for their violent and intense mosh pits at their concerts, and as a result, there have been many persons injured at their concerts. Injuries range from busted lips to bloody noses, and in some cases, even broken bones have been reported.
Singer Jamey Jasta was host of the MTV television program "Headbanger's Ball".
