Greater China (Template:Zh-tsp) is a term refering collectively to the financial markets and economies of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
This term is politically neutral and has no implications on the actual political unity of these regions. Rather, it is based on the similar culture and economic structure of these regions. There is a high amount of cross-investment and trade among these regions, and they are all very export-oriented economies.
Used in rare political contexts, it may refer to the ultimate vision of Chinese nationalists for a unified Chinese state to comprise of China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
