Gildford is located at 48°34'11" North, 110°17'50" West (48.569785, -110.297115)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 13.0 km² (5.0 mi²). 13.0 km² (5.0 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. But it has a creek near Highway 2 at the edge of the town.
School
KG Schools started out as two separate schools and consolidated with the nearby town Kremlin. (Located 9 miles west) They consolidated in the early 70s. The Jr. High and High School is located in Gildford with the elementary in Kremlin. The mascot is the cougar and the colors are black & gold. In the school year of 2005-2006, the school will have its first year of another consolidation. They consolidate with Blue Sky Eagles(Rudyard & Hingham school) and will be called the Northstar Knights. Their colors are Black, Royal blue, and white.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 185 people, 76 households, and 54 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 14.3/km² (36.9/mi²). There are 86 housing units at an average density of 6.6/km² (17.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 97.84% White, 0.00% African American, 1.08% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.08% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 76 households out of which 31.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.5% are married couples living together, 3.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% are non-families. 27.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.43 and the average family size is 2.98.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 21.1% who are 65 years of age or older.
