Gary Cherone
|
Gary Cherone was the lead singer for the hard rock band Extreme, which enjoyed moderate success in the early 1990s. After Extreme's demise he was recruited to replace Sammy Hagar in the band Van Halen, which provoked a furious backlash among many Van Halen fans. The single album for which he contributed vocals, Van Halen III, was the poorest-selling album of the band's career, and Cherone departed the band shortly thereafter. He has since formed a new band, Tribe of Judah.
