The Grande Randonnée (in French), Grote Routepaden (in Dutch), Gran Recorrido (in Castillan) or Gran Recorregut (in Catalan) is a very large network of long-distance footpaths in Europe. Mainly in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. In the Netherlands it is called LAW or Lange afstand wandelpad. In France, the network is maintained by the Fédération Française de la Randonnée Pédestre (http://www.ffrandonnee.fr/). In Spain by the Federacion espanola de deportes de monatana y escalada (http://www.fedme.es/FEDME/Senderos/principal.asp). Many GR routes make up part of the longer European walking routes, which cross several countries.
