The Fumariaceae are a family of flowering plants, with 18 genera and about 450 species of annual and perennial herbaceous plants. The family is distributed throughout most of the temperate Northern Hemisphere, with outlying Southern Hemisphere occurrences in the mountains of tropical and southern Africa.
