Franklin Township is a township located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,601.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 33.8 km² (13.1 mi²). 32.9 km² (12.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.61% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,601 people, 629 households, and 481 families residing in the township. The population density is 48.6/km² (125.9/mi²).
