Four Corners, Georgetown, Ontario is a residential development in the suburban Canadian town of Georgetown, Ontario. "Four Corners" was developed by Menkes, Brookfield Homes, and Fernbrook Homes.
The developments name, Four Corners, is based on a term used to describe Brampton's downtown core, where Queen Street and Main Street intersect.
Ironically, the development chose to use the following phrase in their promotional material: "Brampton is Moving to Georgetown". This phrase acknowledges and sums up the situation of urban sprawl, especially in the area, as the border between Brampton, Ontario has essentially become unnoticeable, with housing developments filling in the gap (consisting once of farm land) that once divided the communities into unique entities.
A self-described "Village Community", it boasted impressive entry gates. The developers built the housing development around "the 16 mile creek tributary", "parks and recreation facilities", and "future schools and heighbourhood retail. The development boasts "roundabouts, walking trails and conservation areas".
