Plot outline
The alleged true story of the best documented alien abduction of Travis Walton which occurred on November 5, 1975, near Snowflake, Arizona. He disappeared mysteriously for five days then reappeared just as mysteriously, leaving many questions unanswered. His co-workers, who work with him as loggers, are suspected of foul play, despite no apparent motive or clue as to Walton's previous whereabouts.

A movie of almost identical title, "A Fire in the Sky", made in 1978, concerns a comet on collision course with Earth that strikes just outside Phoenix, Arizona. The focus of the movie deals with the reaction of denial, and then a desperate bid to get out of the city.
