Epping CDP is a census-designated place within the town of Epping located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. According to the United States Census Bureau, the central settlement has a total area of 7.0 km² (2.7 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 1,673 people, 703 households, and 440 families residing in the settlement. The population density is 240.1/km² (622.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.31% White, 0.30% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.78% Asian, and 1.49% from two or more races. 0.12% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 703 households out of which 28.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.8% are married couples living together, 9.0% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 37.4% are non-families. 30.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.37 and the average family size is 2.97.
