Ebba Brahe

Countess Ebba Brahe (March 16, 1596- January 5, 1674) was a Swedish lady-in-waiting. She was born as the daughter of Magnus Brahe and Britta Stensdotter Leijonhuvud. On June 24, 1618 she married Count Jacob De la Gardie. After her husbands death in 1652 she successfully petitioned Queen Christina of Sweden to found the city of Jakobstad in Finland, named in honour of her late husband.
