Earl of Fife

The title of Earl of Fife was created several times in the Peerages of Scotland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. See also Duke of Fife, Marquess of Fife, Baron Fife.
The last Earl, who was also created Duke of Fife and Marquess of Macduff in 1889 and then again Duke of Fife and Earl of Macduff in 1900, held two Earldoms of Fife, one in the Peerage of the UK (1885) and one in the Peerage of Ireland (1759), as well as the subsidiary titles of Viscount Macduff (1759) and Baron Braco of Kilbryde (1735) in the Peerage of Ireland, and Baron Skene (1857) in the Peerage of the United Kingdom.

- Alexander William George Duff, 6th Earl of Fife (1849-1912), created Earl of Fife in the Peerage of the UK, 1885; created Duke of Fife 1889 and again 1900.
Upon his death, the 1885 earldom and 1889 dukedom became extinct, the 1900 dukedom passed to his daughter, and the 1759 earldom became dormant.
