Draper is a city located in Salt Lake County, Utah. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 25,220 and by 2003 was estimated at 31,020. Between 1990 and 2000 Draper was the fastest-growing city over 5,000 people (as of 2000) in Utah. Its population in 1990 was 7,143. It is the home of golfer Mike Weir.
The Utah State Prison is located in Draper alongside Interstate 15 near the "point of the mountain," about midway between Salt Lake City and Provo.

Geography
Draper is located at 40°30'53" North, 111°52'23" West (40.514843, -111.872940)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 78.6 km² (30.4 mi²). 78.6 km² (30.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.03% is water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 25,220 people, 6,305 households, and 5,428 families residing in the city. The population density is 320.9/km² (831.1/mi²). There are 6,588 housing units at an average density of 83.8/km² (217.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 91.25% White, 1.52% African American, 0.75% Native American, 1.30% Asian, 0.36% Pacific Islander, 2.71% from other races, and 2.10% from two or more races. 5.82% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 6,305 households out of which 54.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.8% are married couples living together, 5.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% are non-families. 10.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.40 and the average family size is 3.69.
In the city the population is spread out with 32.0% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 38.3% from 25 to 44, 14.8% from 45 to 64, and 3.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 29 years. For every 100 females there are 129.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 141.9 males.
The median income for a household in the city is $72,341, and the median income for a family is $76,858. Males have a median income of $50,915 versus $31,742 for females. The per capita income for the city is $22,747. 2.7% of the population and 1.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 3.1% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
