Douglas College
|
Douglas College is the largest college in British Columbia. Unlike universities like Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia, Douglas College does not issue degrees. It is often attended as a sort of educational "stepping stone" from highschool to university, for students who may require higher grades or certain prerequisites to attend SFU or UBC.
The college has two campuses, the largest being in New Westminster with another in Coquitlam.
The college is named after the former Governor of British Columbia, James Douglas.
