Double Fantasy
|
Double Fantasy was the album that marked John Lennon's return from seclusion. This was the last album released by Lennon, just three weeks before his untimely death. Produced by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, & Jack Douglas, and released November, 1980, Double Fantasy is a song cycle dubbed "a heart play", with Lennon and Yoko communicating with each other via the album's songs.
Since it did not qualify in time for the 1981 Grammy Award, the world would have to wait until 1982 to see it receive the Album Of The Year award.
A sequel album, Milk And Honey (consisting of leftover sessions during and after Double Fantasy), was released in 1984, four years after Lennon's passing.
