Dave Weckl

Dave Weckl (born January 8, 1960) is a jazz fusion most claimed drummer in the world. His musical idol is a former drummer legend Buddy Rich. He got famous in Chick Corea Elektrik Band in 1985 and he toured world with Elektrik Band over 6-years 1985-1990.
Starting out on the New York fusion scene in early 80's, Weckl soon found himself working with players such as Chick Corea, Paul Simon, Madonna, George Benson, Michel Camilo and Anthony Jackson. Since 1990, he has released several recordings as a leader of his own band. He has also been active producing instructional material for drummers.
