Country Liberal Party

Template:Infobox Political Party
In Australian politics, the Country Liberal Party (CLP) is the Northern Territory equivalent to the Liberal and National parties - the Country part of the party's name is a relic of when the National Party was called the Country Party. The Country Liberal Party governed the Northern Territory from the introduction of self-government in the 1970s until the election of the first ever Labor government in 2001. Its Federal representatives (currently, the party has one Senator, Nigel Scullion, and one MHR, Dave Tollner) sit with the National and Liberal parties in the Australian Parliament as part of the Coalition.
