Counter Strike - Console Commands
Like any game, Counter Strike has a command window, which can execute functions, and change variables numbers, from scripts which build the game. Bringing up the console (Tilde), sends you back to the main CS-S menu, and can be taken down again by pressing (Tilde) closing the window, or leaving the game. The command window, is where you can find updated information (for instance, if the server allows it, the amount of damage someone does to you, in a certain amount of hits). The command windows common use, is to execute cheat cvars (when sv_cheats 1 is active). Also it is used when someone has injected illegal commands (hacking) into the server. To the average player, the command window is useless, but it can have many advantages. Using the console commands us can bring up data abount computer performance, and performance of maps, new models or mods. They can be used for testing, and to increase performance.
