Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,058 people, 866 households, and 582 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 73.0/km² (189.2/mi²). There are 1,079 housing units at an average density of 38.3/km² (99.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 96.50% White, 0.15% Black or African American, 0.87% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.24% Pacific Islander, 0.68% from other races, and 1.41% from two or more races. 6.17% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 866 households out of which 19.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.0% are married couples living together, 7.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.7% are non-families. 26.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.33 and the average family size is 2.77.
