The Cimetière des Gonards began operations in 1879 on a 130,000 m² property in the wealthy Parisian suburb of Versailles, France. It is the area’s largest cemetery with more than 12,000 tombs.

- Marc Allégret, (1900-1973), film director
- Louis Bleriot, (1872-1936), pioneer aviator
- Pierre Napoleon Bonaparte (1815-1881)
- Gabriel Monod (1844-1912). historian
- Robert de Montesquiou-Fezensac (1855-1921), poet
- Armand Renaud (1836-1895), poet
- Edith Wharton (1862-1937), American writer
