Christopher Harris

Christopher Zinzan Harris (born September 20, 1969) is a New Zealand cricketer. He is the first New Zealander to take 200 wickets in one-day internationals. However, the wicket-taking process has been long, with Harris taking wickets at an average of 37.40. His gentle swing bowling makes the batsman work hard, as the ball is less likely to speed to the boundary. His batting can also be very effective and he is still one of New Zealand's best fieldsmen. In Tests, however, he finds the going much tougher; he has taken 16 Test wickets at 73 apiece and his batting average is also considerably less. He is the son of former New Zealand international PGZ Harris.
