Christopher

Christopher is a name derived from the Greek words for 'Christ' (Khristos) and "to bear" (pherein). It was popular with early Christians who believed they "carried" Christ in their hearts.
The name also became associated with the apocryphal story of a giant who physically carried the Christ-child across a river. See Saint Christopher.
