Chocolate milk
|
nl:chocolademelk Chocolate milk is a drink concocted from milk, cocoa (often processed with alkali), sweeteners (usually sugar, dextrose, or high fructose corn syrup), and sometimes other ingredients including starch, salt, carrageenan, and artificial flavoring. This mixture should be stored at 0.6-4°C.
Chocolate milk can also be prepared in the home, by stirring a commercial chocolate syrup or powder into milk, and then consumed immediately.
There was a chocolate milk drinking movement on the EFnet and Undernet IRC networks starting in April 1999. The cracker "Plastik Gezus" is credited (see b4b0 #7 (http://web.textfiles.com/ezines/B4B0/b4b0-7.txt)) for creating the "l33t factor" of chocolate milk on IRC.
