Chişinău International Airport is an smaller airport in Chişinău, Moldova in Eastern Europe. The airport's capacity of passengers is more than 1000 passengers per hour, or 8,800,000 per year.
Only few airlines serve Chişinău. Flights several times a week are available to Bucuresti, Budapest, Istanbul, Kiev, Lissabon, Milan, Moscow, Rome, Prague, Timisoara, Verona and Vienna.

Following reconstruction works by the turkish company Akfen Holding A.S. and re-opening in May 2000 it became a modern airport in Europe and in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
An annex terminal building with an area of 4,270 sqm was added to the renovated present terminal building of 7,600 sqm.
The project covers construction of 3,000 sqm curtain walls, 3,200 sqm composite panels, 12,185 sqm asphalt road, a treatment plant with a capacity of 3,450 cubicmeter/day, complete mechanical heating, ventilation and electrical systems along with the X-Ray security, luggage handling, master clock and flight information systems.
