Charlottenberg

Charlottenberg is a town, and the seat of Eda Municipality in Värmland County, Sweden. It is located approximately 6 km from the border between Sweden and Norway and has about 3.000 inhabitants. The Charlottenberg railway station serves as the last station in Sweden before the Norwegian border, and divides the Swedish and Norwegian railway systems.
Charlottenberg is one of the towns along the Norwegian border that greatly benefits from the border trade caused by the price difference in the two countries. Alcohol, meat and candy are sold in large quantities. At Christmas time, Charlottenberg locals prefer to go somewhere else for their daily shopping.
