Charles H. Taylor is an American politician; a Republican, he has represented North Carolina's 11th Congressional district (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/nc11_109.gif)) in the United States House of Representatives since 1991. The district, based in Asheville, includes most of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina.
Taylor was elected to his eighth consecutive term in the 2004 Congressional elections, earning 55% of the popular vote and defeating Democrat Patsy Keever.
