According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.4 km² (2.5 mi²). 6.4 km² (2.5 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 872 people, 371 households, and 244 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 136.9/km² (354.0/mi²). There are 398 housing units at an average density of 62.5/km² (161.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 69.27% White, 0.34% African American, 1.72% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 27.06% from other races, and 1.61% from two or more races. 51.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 371 households out of which 25.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.4% are married couples living together, 8.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.0% are non-families. 29.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.32 and the average family size is 2.83.
